Greenland Biomass, LLC operates the South Jacksonville Biomass Site (“the Mulch Site”) under City of Jacksonville Certificate of Necessity #2024‑365‑E. The facility originally opened in 2012, accepting yard trash, tree debris, land‑clearing debris, sod, and dirt. Today, the site is dedicated exclusively to receiving tree debris and brush, which are processed into high‑quality mulch and clean boiler fuel.
In 2024, we expanded our recycling capabilities to include clean concrete rubble and clean asphalt debris. These materials are processed into gravel and rip‑rap, supporting environmentally responsible construction and site‑development needs.
Our mission is simple: produce the best mulch materials and the cleanest boiler fuel possible while maximizing resource recovery. We proudly recycle 99% of all materials received on site, ensuring that nearly everything is repurposed into a beneficial end product.
